Qi Gong as a medical keep-fit activity has a history of several thousand years in China. There are more than 3,600 different kinds of Qi Gong being practised in China.
Qi Gong involves a series of Taoist exercises which are gentle, simple and enjoyable, contributing to health and longevity. Practised by millions of Chinese people over thousands of years, Qi Gong opens channels of energy in the body, resolving many psycho-physical difficulties and improving respiration. People report a sense of refreshment, ease and vigor, with a renewal of basic Qi (life force) for living.
Since 1990 Nili Bassan has studied Qi Gong with Grand Master Peng Jiu Ling at the Peng Jiu Ling Qi Gong Center in Vancouver. She was graduated as a Qi Gong Master in 1995. From that time on she has been teaching Qi Gong regularly and gives workshops in Qi Gong as a means of improving Alexander Technique work.
